QA Manager

Looking for a detail oriented quality manager for a ductile and grey iron foundry in Southeast Wisconsin.   Targeted person will have 8 or more years of foundry experience.  Having experience with gating and risering is preferred.  Having experience with metallurgical quality will be a plus.    Having experience reviewing casting and tooling layouts will also be a plus.

 

Candidate must have strong communication skills, strong organizational skills and be an experienced problem solver.

 

Initial responsibilities will include:

Develop knowledge of current foundry processes,

Champion customer and internal quality improvement efforts,

Coordinate efforts with both internal and external NDT projects,

Compile and submit customer PPAP documentation,

Manage the internal audit program,

Host customer and registrar audits.

Plant Metallurgist

Southeastern Wisconsin grey and ductile iron foundry looking for qualified candidates for the Plant Metallurgist role. Ideal candidates will have multiple years of foundry background and a degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science and Engineering.  Note that non-degreed candidates with significant experience working with foundry metallurgical quality will be considered.  Strong history of troubleshooting castings related defects, and knowledge of gating and risering preferred.  Candidates should possess strong communication skills, ability to operate as part of a team, and display leadership tendencies.  Experience with sand molding, material testing, and managing others is a plus.

 

Responsibilities will include the following:

Control and monitor chemical and physical properties of production castings

Improve and monitor foundry processes and procedures

Ensure sand and metal lab function efficiently

Maintain safe and productive foundry with new materials, process refinement, etc

Fulfill customer PPAP requirements and assist in new part launch

Customer certifications

Instruct and train melt department and lab employees

Maintenance Mechanic

 We are an expanding gray and ductile iron foundry in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin looking for an experienced maintenance mechanic.  Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of industrial machines.  A strong electrical background and experience with power transmission equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics and welding are preferred.  Candidate must be willing to work overtime and weekends and have their own tools.
